Late filmmaker Yash Chopra has been honoured with a bronze statue at the heart of Interlaken, Switzerland.

His wife Pamela Chopra and daughter-in-law Rani Mukerji were present at the event.

Yash Raj Films shared this picture on Twitter and captioned it, ‘Yash Chopra immortalized by Switzerland with his statue.’ 

This is not the first time the filmmaker has been honoured in that country. The government of Interlaken awarded him the honorary title of 'Ambassador of Interlaken' in 2011, and Jungfrau Railways named a train after him.

In addition, the five-star Victoria Jungfrau Grand Hotel & Spa in Interlaken has named a suite after Yash Chopra.
