Rahman off to Malaysia

India's leading music composer A R Rahman will perform at a concert in Malaysia in December as part of his world tour, which took him to the United States and Canada.

The three-and-a-half hour concert at Shah Alam stadium is slated for December 20, according to the Malay Mail.

Rahman will be accompanied by a 60-member orchestra, 20 dancers and 13 backup singers. Other singers sharing the
stage with him include S P Balasubramanian, Hariharan, Shankar Mahadevan and Sukhwindara Singh, the report said.

'We are expecting a crowd of 30,000. The musicians will be from China, the United States, Mumbai and Chennai,' event manager Michael Ghana was quoted as saying. 

After Malaysia, Rahman's next stop will be Sri Lanka, the report said.
