The 65th Filmfare Awards were held in Assam, moving away from Mumbai for the first time in the event's history.
Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy made history winning an unprecedented 13 statutes -- the most for any film at any Filmfare awards night -- including the big winners, Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt who won the Best Actor trophies.

Alia Bhatt, Best Actor In A Leading Role (Female) for her role as the belligerent Safeena in Gully Boy, looks lovely in pink.
Her co-star of several films, Varun Dhawan, gave away the trophy.
Madhuri Dixit gave away the Best Actor In A Leading Role (Male) trophy to Ranveer Singh who stole the show as the wannabe rapper Murad in Gully Boy.
The Best Actor In A Supporting Role (Male) award went to Siddhant Chaturvedi, who played McSher in Gully Boy.
Murad and McSher celebrate with Safeena. On the left is Amruta Subhash who played Murad's mum Razia Ahmed in Gully Boy and won the Best Actor In A Supporting Role (Female) award.
The Best Actress (Critics) award was shared by Bhumi Pednekar and Taapsee Pannu for Saand Ki Aankh.
Ranveer gave away the award.
Ayushmann Khurrana won the Best Actor (Critics) award for his role as the police officer with a conscience in Anubhav Sinha's Article 15.
Ayushmann performed at the awards as well.
Aditya Dhar won the Best Debut Director award for Uri: The Surgical Strike.
The Best Debut Actor went to Abhimanyu Dassani for Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota. His mum Bhagyashree congratulates him.
