Indian television producers Anu and Shashi Ranjan chose the palatial Roda Al Bustan, a few furlongs from super busy Dubai International Airport, to toast 13 global women achievers Wednesday, at the 7th GR8 Women Awards.
Guess what? Our young Alia Bhatt, 24, made the list.
So did five other Indian women.
The Bollywood quotient was obviosuly quite high at this glitzy do:
Alia Bhatt: Award for path-breaking portrayal of women on Indian screen.
Lindsay Lohan: Award for the most versatile artist. Also for her social service.
Vaani Kapoor: Award for her cinema.
Esha Gupta: Should have received an award for looking so radiant :)
And Iulia Vantur for her song, and that dress! She sang the Hindi and original Romanian version of Teri Meri Prem Kahani, from Salman Khan starrer, Bodyguard.
Farah Khan: Award for choreography and direction.
