Pakistani protestors heckle Kabir Khan, ignore them he says

April 27, 2016 15:27 IST

Bajrangi Bhaijaan director Kabir Khan was in for a rude surprise when he arrived at the Jinnah International Airport in Karachi for his onward flight to Lahore.

As soon as he got off his car and entered the airport, he was heckled by a group of slogan-shouting men, who chanted 'Pakistan zindabad' and 'Shame shame.'

One of the protesters shouted, 'You people send Jadhav and kill hundreds here, why don't you make a movie about it,' reports the Pakistani website Dawn.

A protest was also reportedly staged outside the hotel where Kabir stayed.

Incidentally, Khan's film Phantom had been banned in Pakistan for depicting the country as a 'safe haven for terrorists.'

Khan maintained his cool through the incident and later tweeted: 'To media on both sides: 12 screaming lunatics with a mobile phone camera is not news. Please don't give them the attention they want. Ignore.'

Khan was in Karachi to speak at the Marketing Association of Pakistan's annual marketing conference, MARCON.
