There are all sorts of genres on OTT, ready to cater to all of one's moods.

The best action series?

In a new series, we look at the top 10 shows in the most popular genres.

Joginder Tuteja looks at the 10 Best Action Thrillers.

The Family Man
Where to watch: Amazon Prime Video

The Family Man is the biggest action thriller Web series to have arrived on the Indian OTT space.

If the first season was a cracker of a show, the second has gone many notches up.

While Manoj Bajpayee and Samantha Akkineni lead the show, The Family Man has introduced many wonderful new talents.

Directors Raj Nidimoru, Krishna DK and Supern Verma have shown their storytelling prowess.

Special Ops
Where to watch: Disney+Hotstar

When it comes to scale and production values, Special Ops is right up there.

With Neeraj Pandey creating the show and Shivam Nair joining as director, this espionage Web series is truly international with shooting across Turkey, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates and Azerbaijan.

One eagerly awaits the next season of the Kay Kay Menon starrer which would be the precursor.

Rangbaaz and Rangbaaz Phir Se
Where to watch: ZEE5

First, it was Saqib Saleem. Next, it was Jimmy Sheirgill who led the show as the 'rangbaaz' in the two seasons of the well-directed Web series about grassroot politics.

The action was raw and rusty while thrills were in abundance.

<p>Inside Edge
Where to watch: Amazon Prime

The only sports thriller in India which has seen two successful seasons and is gearing up for its third, Inside Edge is an ensemble affair with Vivek Oberoi, Tanuj Virwani, Richa Chaddha and Angad Bedi leading the cast.

The action belongs on the cricket field with 'thrill-a-ball' saga in the offering, courtesy match fixing and betting.

Hostages
Where to watch: Disney+Hotstar

In the first season, Ronit Roy kept a family hostage while in the second, he became hostage alongside a top politician, played by Dalip Tahil.

With steady direction by Sudhir Mishra and then Sachin Krishn, Hostages will be unleashing its third season soon.

Bard of Blood
Where to watch: Netflix

Emraan Hashmi led the show in this Shah Rukh Khan production, which boasted of the kind of action and thrills that one usually associates with big budget Bollywood extravaganzas.

Had the title been more suited for Indian audiences, this reasonably well crafted Web series by Ribhu Dasgupta would have covered a much greater distance amongst action junkies.

Jeet Ki Zid
Where to watch: ZEE5

Amit Sadh has been busy with quite a few Web series, including Jeet Ki Zid/em>.

With Boney Kapoor making his debut as a producer for a Web series, Jeet Ki Zidd boasted of many well-crafted action sequences due to its army setting.

Avrodh
Where to watch: Sony LIV

Another Web series where Amit Sadh plays an officer is Avrodh.

Though the story of Uri had been already shown in Uri: The Surgical Strike, this Applause Entertainment offering covers a greater distance when it came to what really happened before and during the attack.

It was exciting to see the action unfold on the battlefield.

State of Siege: 26/11
Where to watch: ZEE5

The 26/11 terror attack has led to many films and documentaries, and when ZEE5 decided to make a Web series, the end result was impressive.

Arjan Bajwa and Arjun Bijlani came together in this action thriller with Mukul Dev as the antagonist.

This has now turned into a franchise with Akshaye Khanna featuring in State of Siege: Temple Attack.

Mum Bhai
Where to watch: ALT Balaji and ZEE5

A period drama set on the same lines as the Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai franchise by Ekta Kapoor, Mum Bhai has an interesting backdrop of a gangster (Sikandar Kher) and his protégé (Angad Bedi) who find themselves on warring paths.
