Oscars 2017: How the Best Picture mix-up unfolded

All was going great at the 89th Annual Academy awards.

Host Jimmy Kimmel made sure the laughs kept coming, we heard some good speeches from the winners and the goodies that kept falling from the 'skies' looked very good too!

All was well until the Best Picture was announced. And then the slip-up happened. 

Here's a minute-to-minute account of what happened.

Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty take center stage to announce the Best Picture award.

All celebrations cease, as Horowitz takes to the mike to announce they have *not* won. The winner, in fact, is Moonlight!

Warren Beatty explains why the mistake happened. He said he had an envelope saying Emma Stone, La La Land.

He added that he was surprised and turned to his co-presenter Faye Dunaway before looking quizzically at the audiences.
