Never underestimate the power of a sandwich.
Talk show host Oprah Winfrey had no idea what she was in for when she ate a chicken curry sandwich from the Art Café and Bakery in coastal San Luis Obispo, California.
A report in People magazine mentions how the owner of the café, Marqaux Sky, was on the verge of shutting down owing to 'long hours' and 'modest profits' before Oprah intervened.
The media star made an offer Sky could not refuse. Oprah bought the shop for an undisclosed amount.
It turned out to be the most 'expensive' sandwich of Oprah's life.
