'Only romance and fun in Premam'

As his eagerly awaited Premam hits the screens this weekend, director Alphonse Puthren had this to say about the film: "The duration of the film is 2 hours and 45 minutes. There are 17 new faces. There are enough songs and two small action scenes. There will only be romance and fun in Premam. Please don't expect a war."

Alphonse shot to fame with his maiden film, Neram.

Two songs from Premam have already become popular.

Jayasurya in Kumbasaram

Jayasurya plays an auto driver named Alby in Aneesh Anwar's Kumbasaram. Honey Rose plays his heroine.

Aneesh Anwar had earlier directed Mullamottum Muthiricharum and the award-winning film Zachariyayude Garbhinikal.

Jayasurya, who came up with terrific performances in Apothecary and Iyobinte Pusthakam last year, has not been having a great run at the box office of late.

Kumbasaram is expected to release this weekend.

Shanthi Krishna announces comeback plans

Shanthi Krishna, who had taken a break from movies, is planning a comeback.

'In consideration of all the requests from friends and fans, you will be seeing me on screen soon. I hope to have everyone's love and support,' the actress wrote on her Facebook page a few days ago.

According to sources, she will soon be seen in a TV serial.
