Ram Charan and Arvind Swamy in the Telugu remake of Thani Oruvan

Mohan Raja's 2015 Tamil film Thani Oruvan, starring Jayam Ravi, Arvind Swamy, Nayanthara and Ganesh Venkatraman, was a critically acclaimed and commercially successful film.

Ram Charan has now teamed up with filmmaker Surendar Reddy (of Race Gurram and Kick 2 fame) for its Telugu remake.

Ram Charan will play a powerful cop, played by Jayam Ravi in the Tamil original.

After much speculation on who would play the antagonist -- superbly essayed by Arvind Swamy -- comes news that the Roja actor will reprise his role in the remake.

Rakul Preet Singh will play Ram Charan's love interest.

This action-thriller is being produced by Allu Aravind, who had earlier produced Charan’s Magadheera.

Aseem Mishra is the cinematographer, Rajeevan the production designer, Nagendra is in charge of art, Naveen Nooli is the editor and Hip Hop Adi composes music.
