Now, a Tamil Slumdog!

Jamal is now going to speak in Tamil! Yes, Slumdog Millionaire is being dubbed in Tamil as Naanum Kodeeswaran (I am also a millionaire). The Tamil remake is produced by K Natarajan of Falcon Films.

What is interesting about Naan Kodeeswaran is that the producer has roped in popular actor Silambarasan aka Simbu to dub for Dev Patel and veteran singer S P Balasubramanian for Anil Kapoor. Radha Ravi has dubbed for Irrfan Khan.

The producer didn't have to try too hard to get these stalwarts in Tamil to dub for the English film. Silambarasan, a busy actor in Tamil who has already seen Slumdog Millionaire three times, was delighted to be a part of the film, though in a different way.

The Tamil version will release in Tamil Nadu on February 14.
