The 700-year-old Fort Berwara, once owned by Rajawat Rajput nobles, was witness to Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal's grand, high-security wedding.

The wedding took place in the fort precincts with over 200 security personnel. Local police manned the three gates of the fort.

No outsiders, including the district administration, were allowed in.

The event organisers draped large black cloth curtains on the walls of the fort to prevent photographers from taking pictures, but a media group used drone cameras to capture the wedding ceremony and were successful in getting some footage of the wedding.

It is learned that Katrina and Vicky have signed an agreement with Amazon Prime Video for exclusive visual coverage of the wedding.

Guests were not allowed to take pictures from their mobile cameras. Staff and the event management companies were not allowed to take their cameras near the mandap where the wedding and other ceremonies were performed.

In the evening, the couple posted some pictures on Instagram

The couple wore designs by Sabyasachi Mukherjee.

The diamond and polka paatrihaar on Katrina's neck glittered under the lights.

Vicky rode a vintage car instead of the seven-horse buggy as the baraat went on the top of the fort, where the mandap was located.

After reaching the top, Vicky mounted a white horse.

The couple made their appearance after the saat phere amidst the chanting of mantras by pandits who had flown from Mumbai.

More than three truckloads of flowers, weighing about nine tonnes, were brought from Delhi's Ghazipur flower mandi to decorate the fort, and they gave out lovely fragrances.

The fort's Mardana Mahal was used for seating the guests and rather than chairs, white cushions and pillows were put out.

As the couple exchanged the varmalas, everyone clapped and whistled.

Most of the guests, like actors Shravari Wagh and Aastha Gill, designer Anaita Shroff Adajania, singer Harry Sandhu, Kabir Khan and Mini Mathur, Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi, left for Mumbai on Friday after lunch. The couple is expected to stay in the fort until Monday before flying home.
