Rishi Kapoor has become a fitness freak. Having put on oodles of weight in the past few years, Kapoor is now on a weight-losing spree. Producers who want to meet him are now requested to visit his health club instead.

Saif Ali KhanOne such meeting has resulted in a plum project. Filmmaker Aditya Chopra has signed Kapoor for a key role in Yash Raj Films' Hum Tum to be directed by Kunal Kohli.

Kohli made his directorial debut under the same banner with Mujhse Dosti Karoge, starring Hrithik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukerji. Mukerji has been finalised to play the leading lady in Hum Tum. Vivek Oberoi was the first choice for the male lead, but strong reports suggest Saif Ali Khan may sign the dotted line instead of the Saathiya star.

Kapoor earlier worked under the Yash Raj banner in films like Kabhi Kabhie (Amitabh Bachchan, Rakhee, Shashi Kapoor, Neetu Singh, Waheeda Rehman), Doosra Aadmi (Rakhee, Neetu Singh), and Chandni (Sridevi, Vinod Khanna).

The actor will also feature in Bhagyashree's untitled film directed by Raj Sippy (Satte Pe Satta) and Mukul Abhyankar's Dogs (Amitabh Bachchan, Diana Hayden).

Devgan and Kajol's sister in Tango Charlie

Ajay DevganDirector Mani Shankar (16 December) has decided to cast Kajol's younger sister Tanisha in his forthcoming venture starring Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgan and Suniel Shetty.

After working with mom-in-law Tanuja in Ram Gopal Varma's Bhoot, Devgan will be working with his sister-in-law in Shankar's film.

Mounted on a lavish budget and produced by Nitin Manmohan, the film has been tentatively titled Tango Charlie.

Manjrekar woos Big B and Ghai

Mahesh Manjrekar in Kaante

Filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar is now busy making a film with a single protagonist called Struggler.

Apparently, Manjrekar wants Amitabh Bachchan and Subhash Ghai to do some scenes in his 90-minute film.

If Bachchan and Ghai consent, it will no more remain a one-character film. The plot is about a man struggling to become a film actor.
