Honey's 'Armaan' comes true

A still from ArmaanHoney Irani's Armaan, which turned out to be a losing proposition in India, is doing roaring business abroad.

In its second week at the US box office, Armaan collected $296,702. In the United Kingdom, it earned $691,121 in its second week.

Antara's on the road again

She featured in Ram Gopal Varma's Mast, Company and Road. Next, Antara Mali will play Tusshar Kapoor's love interest in another untitled Varma film, where Kapoor plays a typical boy-next-door. The director is yet to be announced.

Antara MaliSo far all of Kapoor's films, except Vashu Bhagnani's Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai, have bombed at the box office.

Meanwhile, Pritish Nandy Communications is trying to rope in Mali for their next venture as well.

Three Walls to premiere at Commonwealth

Nagesh Kukunoor's newest film, Teen Deewarein aka Three Walls, will be premiered at the Commonwealth Film Festival in Manchester.

The film, which stars Jackie Shroff, Juhi Chawla and Naseeruddin Shah, has been shot in sync sound and is partly set in Hyderabad's Musheerabad Jail.

The film will also be screened as the closing movie at Canada's Toronto Film Festival.

Muthu goes to China

RajnikantRajinikanth knew he was on a roll when his hugely successful Tamil starrer, Muthu (also starring Sarath Babu and Meena), was a big hit in Japan. Later, he released it in South Africa where it again did well.

Rajnikant now plans to release the film in China. The actor has decided to learn Chinese so that he can dub his voice himself.
