Locked in a kiss

Perizaad ZorabianThe very first scene that Perizaad Zorabian shot for Anant Balani's Mumbai Matinee (opposite Rahul Bose) required her to drink champagne with Rahul and get locked in a kiss. The film, which is about a 32-year-old man desperate to lose his virginity, is produced by Pritish Nandy Communications. Thankfully, says Perizaad, the shot was okayed in the first take.

Apart from Mumbai Matinee, Perizaad's kitty holds Balani's Jogger's Park, Mahesh Dattani's Morning Raga with Shabana Azmi, and an untitled film with Tanuja Chandra.

Dipannita in Rajiv Rai's next

Dipannita SharmaAfter Mani Sharma's 16 December, Dipannita Sharma will now be seen in Rajiv Rai's next venture.

The untitled film, a thriller, will be shot mainly in Switzerland and some other foreign locales. The rest of the cast comprises Arjun Rampal, Paresh Rawal and Naseeruddin Shah.

The talk of London

Sudha ChandranIt may sound unbelievable, but it's true: Ramola bindis are selling at £2 each in London.

Ramola Sikand aka Sudha Chandran, who has become a household name after Balaji Telefilms' late-night thriller on television Kaahin Kissii Roz, says, "Not only bindis, but even my jewellery is selling like hot cakes [in London]. In fact, counters are named after my bindis and jewellery in some shopping malls -- Ramola Sikand Bindi Counter, Ramola Sikand Jewellery Counter! Believe it or not, I am the talk at kitty parties, mehendi parties, marriage receptions, even fashion shows."
