After David Dhawan's Ek Aur Ek Gyarah, which did average business at the box office, Govinda now looks southwards.

He has signed a Tamil film Three Roses, produced by actress Rambha's brother Vasu. Govinda recently shot for a dance sequence in Chennai.

Shabana AzmiShabana to play Teejan Bai?

The grapevine is abuzz with rumours about Shabana Azmi planning a film on the life of famous Pandavni folk singer Teejan Bai in which Azmi will essay the title role. The singer is slated to make an appearance in the film.

Tanaaz in Hrithik, Abhishek starrers

Now playing diverse roles on television Tanaaz Currim awaits her two big screen ventures -- Sooraj Barjatya's Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon (Hrithik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan), where she plays Kapoor's sister as well as Rohan Sippy's Kuch Na Kaho (Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai), where she has a special appearance.

Tara in Mukesh Bhatt's nextTara Sharma

Vishesh Films & HMV will co-produce Zaroorat, which stars debutant Farhan Hashmi (Mukesh Bhatt's nephew) and Tara Sharma as the lead pair. The film's music will be composed by Nadeem-ShravanAnurag Basu (who is now directing Vishesh Films' Saaya, starring John Abraham and Tara) will direct the film.

Manoj upset with Pankuj Manoj Bajpai

Manoj Bajpai is reportedly upset that director Pankuj Parashar has not picturised a single song on him in the forthcoming Inteqam. Parashar has picturised songs on the two female leads, Isha Kopikkar and Nethra Raghuraman.

Inteqam is said to be a remake of Basic Instinct, starring Michael Douglas and Sharon Stone.
