Deepti turns down Deewar

Actress Deepti Naval has turned down Gaurang Doshi's blockbuster Deewar -- Let's Bring Our HeDeepti Navalroes Home (Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Amrita Rao).

Deepti reveals, "I was told that the role was opposite Amitabh Bachchan. But when I heard the script, I realised there was not a single scene with him. I refused it."

Tara's spot of luck

Tara Sharma (Om Jai Jagadish)  is flying high. The actress is on the verge of completing Vishesh Films' Saaya (opposite John ATara Sharmabraham) directed by Anurag Basu. She has signed a Hinglish film directed by Diwakar Chatterjee.

The other cast of Anupam Kher, Boman Irani (of Let's Talk) and Parvin Dabas (of Monsoon Wedding). "The film will be either titled as Ghonsla or The Plot. I am paired with Parvin Dabas. I play a wild and wacky character. The film will be shot on a start-to-finish schedule in Delhi," she informs.

Bhagyashree's production plans

Bhagyashree (of Maine Pyaar Kiya fame) is all set to roll in May with her first production venture undeBhagyashreer her company Shrishti Entertainment Limited. She says, "I have 15 films in mind. All these films will be women-based and small-budget stories. I have zeroed in on Suman Ranganathan, Pooja Batra and Ayesha Jhulka for the first three. The protagonist for the other 12 stories will be decided in due course.

"Within two months of the shooting being compolete, I will release the films. Sahara Television will be the distibutors and will do the world premiere on television thereafter. The shooting for the first venture begins in May."
