The Bipasha-John-Dino threesome
Bipasha Basu will now costar with former and current beaus Dino Morea and John Abraham.
Vikram Bhatt, who gave the dusky actress her first hit, Raaz, will direct the trio. Speculation is rife as to whether the film will portray their real life love stories.
Meanwhile, Dino has recuperated from his recent car accident near Kulu Manali and will resume shooting tomorrow.
Vivek's starry tantrums
Samir Karnik's Kyun? Ho Gaya Na Pyaar, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Vivek Oberoi and Aishwarya Rai is facing rough weather, courtesy Oberoi and Rai.
All is not well between school chums Karnik and Oberoi. Recently, a heated argument over creative differences between the two led to the shoot being cancelled for a day.
Apparently, even on the sets of Dum, Oberoi was seen directing his shots while director E Niwas sat grumbling outside the sets. Dum did not attract a full house even on the first day of its release.
Rai reportedly forced Karnik to dismiss Payal Rohatgi who had been pencilled in for an item number with Vivek. Apparently, the former Miss World wanted the number for herself.
Salman's rising unpopularity
Aishwarya Rai, Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukherji have excused themselves from reprising Waheeda Rehman's role in Pritish Nandy's latest film, Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam, which is a remake of the old Guru Dutt-Meena Kumari-Waheeda classic.
Reportedly, none of them want to work with Salman Khan, who has been signed on for Guru Dutt's role.
The original classic had won Filmfare Awards for Best Film, Best Director, Best Actress and Best Cinematography.
Sharmila thumbs down idiot box
Sahara Television may have lured actresses like Karisma Kapoor (Karisma -- The Miracle of Destiny), Sridevi (Hamari Bahu Malini Iyer) and Hema Malini (in an untitled serial) with lucrative projects.
But Sharmila Tagore recently turned down a similar offer from the channel, saying, "My heart beats for films only."
Cleo ditches again
Model Cleo Issacs signed three films. And ditched them all!
First, she walked out of White Feathers' Plan (Sanjay Dutt, Sanjay Suri, Dino Morea, Bikram Saluja, Rohit Roy and Isha Koppikar). Then, she nixed Padam Kumar's Supari (Uday Chopra, Nandita Das, Rahul Dev, Akash Saigal and Purab Kohli).
Director Irfan Khan is the latest victim of her erratic behaviour. His cast and crew were left twiddling their thumbs in Bulgaria as she returned to Mumbai without shooting a scene. Producer Salim Khan has registered a complaint with the Association of Motion Pictures and Television Programme Producers and demanded a compensation of Rs 25 lakhs.
