Buzz is that Shekhar Kapur has signed Hrithik Roshan. Though Hrithik is tight-lipped about the project, a formal announcement is said to be in the offing.Hrithik Roshan

Kapur had signed Hrithik for Ta Ra Rum Pum opposite Preity Zinta. The film was supposed to mark Roshan Jr's debut. Unfortunately for Hrithik, Kapur got busy with Elizabeth and Ta Ra Rum Pum never took off.

Raveena Tandon will make a special appearance in Harry Baweja's forthcoming Qayamat. The multi-starrer includes Ajay Devgan, Suniel Shetty, Chunky Pandey, Arbaaz Khan, Sanjay Kapoor, Isha Koppikar, Neha Dhupia and Ashish Chaudhry.Raveena Tandon

Tandon worked with Baweja in Dilwale, which enjoyed a platinum jubilee run. The consecutive success of Dilwale and Rajiv Rai's Mohra were instrumental in breaking Raveena's jinx tag.

Aashiqui hero turns director

Despite a successful debut in Mahesh Bhatt's Aashiqui, Rahul Roy failed to create any waves. He Rahul Royis now all set to don the mantle of director.

"I was supposed to direct Sudhakar Bokade's Mera Joota Hai Japani. Due to financial problems, the film could not make headway. Fortunately, Bokade is now getting a lot of financial assistance and it will be revived. There is another film with Bokade in the pipeline as well. We will announce the projects shortly," he says.

Tum shelved

Tum, to be directed by E Niwas, has been shelved after only two days of shooting. The cast included Jackie Shroff, Aftab Shivdasani, SE Niwasaif Ali Khan and Preeti Jhangiani.

Niwas confirmed the report, adding, "The producers were unable to handle the pressures of filmmaking. They were not suited to this [film] line."

Post the Dum debacle, Niwas is gearing to direct Vijay Galani's Bardasht, starring Bobby Deol and Lara Dutta.
