Mohanlal to shoot with tigers for Puli Murukan

A lowdown on all the goings-on in the Malayalam film industry.

Shooting for director Vysakh's Puli Murukan, with Mohanlal playing the hero, has started in Hanoi, Vietnam.

The 55-year-old actor will undergo a gruelling schedule where he will shoot with tigers in a forest area.

Mohanlal has posted a picture of himself with well-known action director Peter Hein on his Facebook page, from Vietnam.

Puli Murukan is the first script by Udayakrishna, of the erstwhile Siby K Thomas-Udayakrishna duo.

The film is produced by Mulakupadam Films.

Jeethu to start shooitng his next film with Prithviraj 

Jeethu Joseph, the director of the recently released Papanasam, has started working on his next project.

His Life of Josootty, with Dileep, releases this Onam.

Jeethu’s new project stars Prithviraj and is an action flick, according to reliable sources. Jeethu directed Prithviraj earlier in Memories.

Papanasam, the Tamil version of the Malayalam blockbuster Drishyam, has opened to rave reviews.

The Kamal Haasan starrer is a thriller, with a strong emotional content.

Dileep has his hands full

Popular hero Dileep, who completed Life of Josootty’s New Zealand schedule, is currently shooting for Shafi’s new film in Canada.

Titled Two Countries, the film is a laugh riot, with Mamta Mohandas playing the heroine.

Dileep and Mamta have acted together in Passenger, Arike and My Boss.

Dileep also plays a news anchor in the Eid release, Love 24 X 7, directed by Sreebala K Menon.

The film also stars debutante Nikhila Vimal, Suhasini and Sasi Kumar.

Dileep will soon start shooting for Lal’s new film, written by Siddique.

The hero has also said yes to P Balachandrakumar’s Pick Pocket and projects with debutant directors Ratheesh Ambat and John Paul.
