First Look: Lord Living stone 7000 Kandi is coming

Director Anil Radhakrishnan Menon is known for quirky titles like North 24 Kaatham and Sapthamasree Taskaraha.

His latest venture, curiously named Lord Livingstone 7000 Kandi, is an adventure trip to a forest that houses a 500-year-old civilisation.

Philipose John Varkey (Kunchacko Boban), a young nature enthusiast, has taken up the mantle to save Lord Livingstone 7000 Kandi and to protect it from industrialists.

A retired civil service officer named Menon (Nedumudi Venu), a gun tester named Madhumita R Krishnan (Reenu Mathews), a magician and a thug called Bheeran (Sunny Wayne), a chemical engineer named Anananthakrishnan Iyer (Jacob Gregory), constitute the film's main cast.

Lord Livingstone 7000 is produced by Kandi Global United Media, and will hit screens soon. Camera work is by Jayesh Nair while Rex Vijayan has composed the music.

Mammootty banks on Pathemaari

Award-winning filmmaker Salim Ahmad’s Pathemaari will hit screens on October 9.

Mammootty plays a Gulf Malayali named Pallikkal Narayanan and the story chronicles his life.

The veterans last two films Achan Din and Utopiayile Rajavu were failures, so a lot is riding on Pathemaari.

He is currently shooting for A K Sajan’s film, in which Nayantara plays his wife.
