Here's what is new in the Malayalam film industry.
The shooting of Loham, directed by Ranjith with Mohanlal in the lead, has started.
If rumours are to be believed, the film narrates the story of gold smuggling. Mohanlal is reportedly playing a cop in the film but there is no confirmation for this news as yet.
Ranjith had announced the comeback film of Manju Warrier, with Mohanlal playing the hero. But it didn’t happen and the writer-director made Njan instead.
Loham has Andrea Jeremiah playing the female lead.

Ivan Maryadaraman, the official remake of the Telugu hit Maryada Ramanna, will be Dileep’s Vishu release.
Drishyam not inspired from a book.

Drishyam director Jeethu Joseph, who is currently busy with the postproduction of its Tamil version, told rediff.com that “I am delighted by the court decision. I had presented some e mails where the script was attached much before the book came out. He has been going around with the allegations of plagiarism for quite some time now and I have decided to file a defamation suit against him.
