Michael Jackson 'finally buried'

August 10, 2009 10:50 IST

Late King of Pop Michael Jackson has finally been buried without a ceremony and far from a single fan in sight, it has emerged.

The Thriller hitmaker is said to have been quietly laid to rest at the Forest Lawn Cemetery, Hollywood Hills.

His family allegedly went to great lengths to keep the exact location secret in fear of the grave being raided by the star's devotees.

Some members were even claimed to have considering moving the singer's body if the lid was blown over the security.

'Michael has already been laid to rest, but other than the Jackson family and the management at Forest Lawn, no one knows the exact spot,' the Mirror quoted a cemetery source as saying.

'Staff at the cemetery have been fed several different locations, it's as if they are hoping to confuse everyone so it can't leak out.

'The fear is that thousands of Jackson fans will descend on the cemetery and create a security issue or maybe even damage or deface the grave,' the source added.

Jackson's burial was delayed over the suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
