From a walk-on part in Karan Johar's My Name Is Khan to the lead opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Abhinav Kashyap's Besharam, Pallavi Sharda has come a long way.The story of a con-man in Delhi and his lady-love will go on the floors in March.Understandably excited, Pallavi says she is not allowed to talk about her role.Says Pallavi, "I was barely there in My Name Is Khan. I had a more substantial role in Sahil Sangha's Love Breakups Zindagi, and now the lead in Besharam. I've worked my way up as an actress, all on my own."Australia-born Pallavi's parents are both academicians. They had migrated to Australia in the 1980s before she was born. "My parents are IIT students -- they are lecturers. I am a law graduate. Bharat Natyam and Bollywood were part of my growing-up years," she says.Pallavi has just completed an Australian film. "I play the lead in Save Your Legs. It will be released in February. It's a comedy about the Australian cricket team touring India, their trials and tribulations."Pallavi's co-star in the film is Australian star Stephen Curry, and it has been directed by Boyd Hicklin. Here's looking forward to watching more of Pallavi in Bollywood.
