In filmmaker Ranjiith Sankar’s Varsham, which will hit the screens worldwide today, Mammootty plays a businessman named Venu.
The director, who shot to fame with Passenger and made the hit film Punyalan Agarbathis last year, calls Varsham a family entertainer.
“Venu (Mammootty) is married to Nandini (Asha Sarath) and the couple has a son named Anand, a student, played by Master Prajul of Spirit fame. Certain unprecedented happenings change the course of the couple’s life,” says Ranjith Sankar.
Mamta Mohandas, T G Ravi, Sunil Sugatha and Sudheer Karamana are also part of the cast.
Varsham is produced by Mammootty’s production banner, Play House.
Manoj Pillai is the cinematographer and Biji Bal has scored the music.
