Mammootty plays a ‘Christian achayan’ from Pala in debutant director Shibu Gangadharan’s Praise The Lord.
The film is based on well-known writer Paul Zachariah’s novel of the same title.
T P Devarajan has written the screenplay and dialogues.
Mammootty plays Joy, a wealthy farmer living with his wife Ancy (Reenu Mathews) and kids. He knows little about the world outside his immediate territory and things get interesting with the coming of two lovers.
Mukesh, Joy Mathew, Ahmad Siddique and Akansha Puri are also in the cast.
Praise The Lord has been produced by Galaxy Films. Pradeep Nair is the cinematographer and Shaan Rahman composes the music.
