After the critically acclaimed thriller Manorama -- 6 Feet Under, Shemaroo Entertainment Private Limited will release their next -- a comedy called Mere Baap Pehle Aap. The film will be directed by Priyadarshan.

The film stars Akshaye Khanna, Paresh Rawal, Om Puri, Rajpal Yadav, Genelia D'Souza, Shobhna and Archana Puran Singh. Naseeruddin Shah, in a guest appearance, will be seen working with Priyadarshan for the first time.

The film's poster makes us wonder if Mere Baap Pehle Aap is a copy of Malayalam hit, Istham, starring Dileep, Navya Nair, Nedumudi Venu, Innocent and Jayasudha.

In the original film, best friends Nedumudi Venu and Innocent are middle-aged

single men, who are always on the lookout for women that Innocent can marry. But instead of love, the two only find trouble.

Nedumudi Menu's son, Dileep, decides to help them out until one day, Dileep learns that his father frequents a younger girl, Navya Nair's home.

Mere Baap Pehle Aap's music has been composed by Vidyasagar (of Hulchul fame) and the lyrics are penned by Sameer. The film has been shot in Goa, Kerala, Chennai and Mumbai.

It is almost ready except for two songs, one of which will be shot in Mumbai and the other in foreign locales.

Mere Baap Pehle Aap is expected to release in June.
