Aasif MandviOkay, we know Aasif Mandvi has been making waves on the Comedy Central's The Daily Show With Jon Stewart. Mandvi, 41, is also a theatre and film actor (with credits ranging from Merchant-Ivory's Mystic Masseur to Spider-Man II), and on the satirical Emmy Award-winning fake-news show, he pretends to report from the Middle East.

Now, the Mumbai-born Mandvi features on a Washington Post 'mock' interview where his funnyman capabilities are on full display.

He says, 'The most dangerous situation I've been in is being in Jon Stewart's spit zone. When you get into that spit zone, it's pretty scary. Sometimes we'll stop taping because I'm just drenched.'

And in response to a question on how he felt he stacked up on real-life correspondents like CNN's Christiane Amanpour, he says, 'I think the only difference between them and me is they don't have the added pressure of standing in front of a green screen. So I feel like I do more work than they do.'

There's more such tongue in cheek stuff, as he tells the interviewer that he and Kal Penn try to pick up girls, thought 'It works out a lot better for him (Penn).'
