Kerala Police registers case against Shah Rukh Khan

Shah Rukh KhanShah Rukh Khan is in a spot with the police in Kochi, Kerala, which registered a case against the actor for violating provisions of Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act 1986.

Shah Rukh, who was in the city on December 4 in connection with the inauguration of a showroom, had performed the popular number Chamak Challo from his recently released movie RA.One, along with some skimpily clad artistes.

Police said the cases have been registered against Shah Rukh and partners of a textile showroom in Kochi, who organised the function, under Section 3, 6 of the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) act 1986 and under IPC Sections 294 (obscene acts and songs), and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention).

Ernakulam Judicial First Class Magistrate A Ijas had directed police to register cases against the actor and partners of the private textile showroom after a petition by one Mathew Saju Pulluvuzhi.
