Karan Johar to launch Prabhas in Bollywood

Telugu superstar Prabhas of Baahubali fame is all set to make his Hindi debut in a film to be produced by Karan Johar.

SS Rajamouli, who directs the Baahubali movies, is likely to be roped in to direct it. The film will showcase Prabhas as an action-romance star for Bollywood.

Says a source close to the development, "For the last five years, Prabhas has focused only on Baahubali. He has turned down offers from Yash Raj Films and other Bollywood banners. Now that the Baahubali series is over, he's looking at a Hindi debut, with Karan Johar."

Johar, it may be pointed out, is the co-producer and distributor of the Hindi version of the blockbuster franchise.

Says the source, "Karan has been encouraging Rajamouli to do a Hindi film after Baahubali. They will team up to launch Prabhas in Bollywood."
