Ajay Devgn joins hands with Netflix for their new film, Tribhanga.

It will be directed by Renuka Shahane, and the the shoot will begin from October 10.

Tribhanga will mark the digital debut of Ajay's wife, Kajol.

Ajay will produce the project under his banner Ajay Devgn Films, in collaboration with Banijay Asia and Siddharth P Malhotra's Alchemy Films.

"Tribhanga is a story of three women from the same household, who belong to different generations. When my team and co-producer Banijay Asia got on board with Netflix, we were excited that we could tell this story in a more nuanced manner, with the highest production standards possible and reach a wider audience," Ajay told PTI.

The story is set in Mumbai.

The actor-producer lauded the film's script, which has been developed by Renuka.

"Tribhanga is an Odissi dance pose that is disjointed and asymmetrical, yet mesmerising and sensuous, so much like the lives of the three women characters of the film -- Nayan, Anu and Masha, played by Kajol, Mithila Palkar and Tanvi Azmi," Renuka says, in a statement.

"This is an incredible opportunity and it feels amazing to collaborate with Netflix for the film and know that it will be available across the world on literally the same day. We have a great cast and a beautiful storyline. I cannot wait to begin shooting," she adds.

Meanwhile, Saif Ali Khan is ready for his next Web series, called Tandav, which the actor claims is on the lines of the American political thriller, House of Cards.

House of Cards, starring Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright, revolved around a Democrat, who climbed his way to the US presidential office.

Saif says his show is based on Indian politics and is set on a massive scale.

"I don't want to use American examples but it's along the lines of House Of Cards, although set within the framework of Indian politics. The plot takes into account various factions like Dalit politics and UP cops and the nexus between them," the actor said in a statement.

The series will be directed by Bharat director Ali Abbas Zafar.

"My character is Chanakya-like, in the guise of a youth leader who comes from a privileged background and aspires to become the prime minister," Saif said.

But first, he will be seen in Laal Kaptaan, which will release on October 18.
