After the unprecedented success of Ko (and earlier Ayan), KV Anand has become of the most celebrated commercial film-makers in Tamil, perhaps a la Shankar! Ayan was one of the most successful films in Suriya's career, and Ko made Jiiva a commercial star who was known more for his acting ability than star status!
Even before the shooting of Ko got over, KV Anand signed Suriya for his next venture titled Maattarn (Alternate man).
Now, KV is back in Chennai from Munnar after finishing the script of the film. Though the names of the cast and technicians will be announced soon, it is confirmed that Kajal Agarwal who is on a career high has been signed as Suriya's heroine for Maattran.
The biggest hit in her career is Magadheera with
Ram Charan Tej. Now, she has some very high profile films other than Mattran. She will be seen opposite Mahesh Babu's in Puri Jagganath's The Business Man. She also will essay the role done by Sonkashi Sinha in the Telugu remake of Dabbang opposite Pawan Kalyan. She plays the female lead in the Hindi remake of Suriya's Singham along with Ajay Devgan.
KV Anand will start shooting Mattran by the end of June in Chennai.
