Delhi-born model and South Indian film actress Padmapriya tied the knot with software engineer Jasmine Shah at a private ceremony held in Mumbai on November 12.
Padmapriya, who made her debut in Malayalam film Kaazhcha, has done over 48 films across South Indian languages. She was also seen in the Hindi film Striker, starring
Siddharth.
She is a recipient of the National special jury award, two time Kerala State Award, Tamil Nadu State award and a three time Filmfare Award winner.
She met Jasmine Shah in New York when both were pursuing their Masters from Columbia and New York University respectively, her media manager said in a statement.
Shah, who hails from Gujarat, works as Policy Head, South Asia, with Jamal Abdul Lateef Poverty Action Lab, headquartered in Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Padmapriya will continue to act in films post marriage, the release said.
Her last film was Malayalam movie Iyoobinte Pusthakam.
