Bollywood director Subhash Kapoor, who was accused of molesting actress Geetika Tyagi at her residence in suburban Versova, was arrested on Monday in the case, police said.
"Film director Subhash Kapoor was today arrested in connection with the molestation case filed against him by actress Geetika Tyagi on April 14 this year," said Assistant Police Commissioner Samadhan Dhanedhar.
The 'Jolly LLB' fame filmmaker Kapoor was produced before an Andheri court which granted him bail, the officer said.
Kapoor's associate Danish Raza, who is said to be scriptwriter, is still wanted in this case, the ACP added.
Tyagi had filed a complaint against Kapoor at Versova police station in April alleging that he and his associate Danish had in May 2012 come to her residence and inappropriately touched her.
Tyagi claimed Kapoor was under the influence of alcohol at the time of incident, police said.
The actress also alleged that Kapoor defamed her using various media platforms over a period of time, police said.
The duo was accordingly booked under IPC sections 354 (outraging a woman's modesty), 501 (printing or engraving matter known to be defamatory) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention).
Following the probe, Kapoor was today held while Danish is absconding.
Tyagi has acted in films such as 'Aatma', 'What The Fish' and 'One by Two'.
