Kamal Khan and Sunny DeolThe Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and various other Sikh organisations have urged the Central Board of Film Certification ban Sunny Deol's new film, Jo Bole So Nihaal. The film, titled on a Sikh religious slogan, is full of vulgarity, the organisations say.

'The title of the film gives an impression that it will be based on Sikh religion but the trailers of the picture show vulgarity,' an SGPC press release said.

Sikhs would never tolerate this kind of 'nonsense,' it added.

General Secretary and Spokesperson of Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) Jagmohan Singh, General Secretary of Dal Khalsa Kanwar Pal Singh and Chairman of Khalsa Panchayat Rajinder Singh have said they would demonstrate on May 11 against the Censor Board for its failure to withhold the movie.

'The use of holy Sikh slogans along with vulgar scenes is not acceptable. It is an insult to Sikhs. It is the duty of the government of India to stop the screening of the film lest it forcesto Sikhs to act on their own,' the leaders said.

They also said community members in Mumbai, under the leadership of Kulwant Singh, executive committee member of Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Bombay, will meet Censor Board Chairperson Sharmila Tagore to urge a ban on the movie.

Jo Bole So Nihaal is scheduled for release on May 13.
