Remember Jhalak Thakkar, the lady who replaced Neha Devi Singh as Bhoomi in Saarthi? After Saarthi went off air in February, Jhalak took a short break. The actress is now back in a new yet-to-be-named show.

"Saarthi was the most emotional journey in my career," Jhalak says. "Right now, I am getting ready for a new daily soap on NDTV Imagine. I will play a young bubbly girl named Anisha. The story revolves around her love life."

The rest of the cast is yet to being finalised and everything should be decided in the next few days. Jhalak adds that there will be a new actor opposite her in the show. Jhalak, who had gained weight for Bhoomi's role, has shed those extra killos by power yoga and meditation.

"When I started Saarthi, I was just 18 and playing a 30-year-old mother of a child, which is not easy. But I knew when I start something new in this industry, I have to look slim," says the young actress.

Jhalak also shot for a Telugu movie Venkatagiri, opposite junior NTR. "I have another [shooting] schedule to go. It was a nice experience for me and I will definitely consider South Indian films if I get good roles. But for now, I am concentrating only on the new show on NDTV Imagine," concludes Jhalak.
