Congratulations to the proud parents!
When asked what she wanted for Diwali, this is what Hema Malini said, "My elder daughter Esha is expecting her first child. So, this Diwali, I wish a little Laxmi comes into our home."
The heavens seem to have heard her wishes.
Esha Deol gave birth to a daughter on October 20 at the Hinduja Healthcare hospital in Mumbai.
Hema Malini had announced her daughter's pregnancy in April.
She becomes a proud grandmother for the second time -- younger daughter Ahaana had a baby boy in 2015.
Esha and her husband, Bharat Takhtani, went on a babymoon to Greece, and clicked some lovely photographs.
She also had a godhbharai ceremony in which she re-married her husband according to Sindhi customs.
It was followed by a lavender themed baby shower.
