Ishmeet Singh, who died in a tragic accident in the Maldives on July 29, was to make his debut as a playback singer in Bollywood in the Nana Patekar-starrer Horn Ok! Please.

Unfortunately, the Star Voice of India winner drowned in a swimming pool in the hotel where he was staying.

Lalit Pandit (of Jatin-Lalit fame)

had composed the music, and the song was to be picturised on Muzammil Ebrahim. The recording was scheduled as soon as Ishmeet was to arrive in Mumbai.

Apparently, Ishmeet had even rehearsed the song before he left for the Maldives for a promotional tour.

Ishmeet's voice may not make it to the big screen but the young singer will always be remembered as one of the few singers, who had his own style, and did not imitate other singers.
