This story fascinated both of us when we first spoke. Just before the news broke of his cancer we were planning a movie together which made us spend a lot of time together.
I learnt so much from him by just talking about cinema and acting. His mind was so curious all the time ... then during the illnesses we were in contact while I was in New York with Sonali and he was in London ..
We spoke a lot about the ways to fight and I knew Irrfan like the eagle he so loved wanted to grow his beak back. He fought and fought until the last moment.
Even as he departs to a place of no return, I am sure he must be soaring high in the skies above just like an eagle would.
