'I am waiting for the truth to come out'

May 04, 2016 10:35 IST

Rahul Raj SinghRahul Raj Singh, the late Prayusha Banerjee’s boyfriend, who has been accused of abetment to suicide and is currently out on anticipatory bail, says he is waiting for the truth to be revealed.

He also claims innocence in the tragic death of his girlfriend.

"I have not done anything wrong. I love her and I am going to live with her memories forever," Rahul says.

But he will not say anymore in his defense at the moment.

"I will speak when truth is out. I don’t want to prove anything," he explains.

Rahul, apparently, still cannot believe Pratyusha is gone. "I lost my baby. She is my life. I want justice. And truth will come out one day," he says.

"My motive of living now is my Pratyusha. I love her way too much. It’s still hard to believe she is not there with me, that I can’t talk to her."

Rahul, who underwent treatment for alleged depression post Partyusha's death, is also confident that he will be proven innocent.

"I am waiting for the truth to come out. Truth always prevails. Sometimes it takes a little longer. I can wait."
