Kangana Ranaut, who will next be seen alongside Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in Vishal Bhardwaj's Rangoon, launched Chetan Bhagat's new novel One Indian Girl at an event in Mumbai on Saturday.
The actress, who is known for playing strong woman characters on screen, was all praise for Bhagat's latest offering.
The writer-columnist later thanked the Queen actress on Twitter and wrote, 'Thanks Kangana for doing this and speaking from the heart. And you looked stunning.'
Akshay Kumar spent Sunday visiting the Women's Self Defence Centre in Mumbai, with Alia Bhatt and Aaditya Thackeray for company.
Later, Ms Bhatt took to Twitter to praise Khiladi Kumar's initiative: 'A Sunday well spent at @akshaykumar women's self defence centre!!Such strong, inspiring girls & such a great initiative @AdityaThackeray.'
The Rustom actor thanked Alia and Aaditya for their support: 'Thank you so much @aliaa08 for joining us today and being a part of our initiative.'
He added: 'One young man who needs to be thanked for his endless efforts is @AUThackeray! Thank you for involving me. We need more young leaders like you.'
The Women’s Self Defense Centre (WSDC) is a 5,000 sq feet, state-of-the-art self-defense and martial arts training gym. It was launched by Akshay and Aaditya Thackeray in July.
On the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Amitabh Bachchan participated in a cleanliness drive at Juhu beach, suburban Mumbai.
Bachchan, the campaign ambassador of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, spoke about the importance for keeping our cities clean.

To promote their upcoming film Tutak Tutak Tutiya, Prabhu Deva and Sonu Sood celebrated the festive season of Navratri in Mumbai with hundreds of fans and singing sensation Falguni Pathak.
Sood, who has co-produced the film, tweeted from the venue, 'With my brother @PDdancing n so many beautiful people. .. Happy navratri... #tutaktutaktutiya #7th October release.'
Choreographer-turned-filmmaker Prabhu Deva also took to Twitter and wrote, 'Garba nights with @SonuSood Lovely environment.'
Tamannaah Bhatia, who plays the female lead in the film, was missing from the action and later tweeted, 'I missed it.'
Kajol is all set for Durga Puja and welcomed the goddess on behalf of the North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja Samiti along with her cousin Sharbani Mukherjee.
Sharbani, interestingly, made her acting debut with JP Dutta's film Border in 1997.
