After creating a buzz about her rumoured liaison with rock singer Lenny Kravitz, Nicole Kidman is in the news again. A snippet in www.salon.com mentions the Oscar winner has recently signed a three-year deal with French beauty house Chanel to endorse their fragrance Chanel No 5.
Introduced in 1921, Chanel is a hugely popular international brand. Kidman was the chosen one 'because she represents a unique standard of elegance and embodies the spirit and modernity of Chanel,' read the company statement.
The actress is now waiting for the release of her new movie, The Human Stain, featuring Anthony Hopkins.
From Wolverine to James Bond?
Kidman's fellow Aussie actor Hugh Jackman is a strong contender for the part of the suave British spy James Bond 007, after Pierce Brosnan wraps up shooting for the latest Bond bonanza.
Brosnan played the stylish spy in Goldeneye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Not Enough and Die Another Day.
A report on imdb.com says the X-Men star is perfect for the role and might just don the Bond suit, surpassing other actors like Clive Owen and Paul Bettany (you saw him last in A Beautiful Mind).
Earlier, Russell Crowe too was tipped for the coveted part. But apparently the soon-to-be daddy is rumoured to be expensive for the makers.
