Playback singer Asha Bhosle, sitar maestro Pandit Ravi Shankar's daughter Anoushka Shankar and Anoushka's sister, singer Norah Jones are among the nominees for the Grammy Awards 2005. Asha, 72, and Anoushka have been nominated in the category of Best Contemporary World Music Album.

Norah, Anoushka's half-sister, is in contention for the Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals category in the nominations announced on Thursday night. Asha is in the contention for her collaboration with American band Kronos Quartet You've Stolen My Heart: Songs From R D Burman's Bollywood.
Anoushka's album Rise is competing in the same category as Asha's, while Norah has been nominated for Viriginia Moon, a collaborative album with the band Foo Fighers. Bhosle said on Friday she was delighted at being nominated for the second time for the Grammy Awards. "I am delighted. I thank my fans and well-wishers for their support", the singer said.
The award function will be held in Los Angeles in February.
