The wise Imp or the Mother Dragon? Take your pick!

The interweb has been abuzz with everything Game of Thrones ever since the television adaptation of G R R Martin's magnificent fantasy drama series first aired in 2011.

Currently in its fifth season, the hugely popular television show premiered in India along side its US telecast.

To say that its characters are as intricately etched as its narrative would be stating the obvious. But we all have favourites and our own perception of them.

You a GoT devotee?

Rate your favourite Game of Thrones characters on the good-guy-bad-guy score card!

Note: 1 star = Pure evil

2 stars = Evil enough

3 stars = Not so bad after all

4 stars = More good than evil

5 stars = Are you kidding me? This person is a saint!

Daenerys Targaryen

Image: Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen

Starting out in the series as a deer caught in the headlights, Daenarys, the daughter of slain former king  Aerys II Targaryen, is initially extremely fearful of her brother Viserys.

As the series progresses, she turns into a fierce Dragon Mother and an exemplary leader who is feared by the seven kingdoms thanks to her ambition to reclaim her father's lost glory.

Her ambition has also seen her make not so honourable choices though.

How'd you rate Daenerys on the good to evil scale?

Cersei Lannister

Image: Lena Headey as Cersei

Let's see, where do we start?

Cersei plots her husband's death, is in an incestuous relationship with her twin brother and is the most vindictive woman we've ever come across lately.

But, but, she's gorgeous and poetically fragile and loves her kids to death!

How'd you rate Cersei on the good to evil scale?

Tyrion Lannister

Image: Peter Dinklage as Tyrion

Damned to a life of ridicule and repulsive treatment from the Lannister clan for his modest stature, Tyrion is the scarily wise black sheep of the family who everyone should have listened to to avoid all the mess in the first place.

Despite all his vices, despite his Imp moniker, and despite himself, Tyrion is the most admired man from this saga.

How'd you rate Tyrion on the good to evil scale?

Arya Stark

Image: Maisie Williams as Arya

GoT has many brave women characters and not a single one of them is a patch on the livewire that is Ned Stark's younger daughter Arya.

While her family is being hacked to death, she is meticulously hatching revenge plans against all the killers instead of grieving.

To sum up, she's as badass as any living person can be.

How'd you rate Arya on the good to evil scale?

Jon Snow

Image: Kit Harrington as Jon Snow

His one true love may have accused him of being the most clueless person ever but the brave illegitimate son of Ned Stark is nothing if not a silent hero in his own right.

Despite the social stigma attached to his name, he is relentless in his loyalty to his father and his half-siblings and admirably respectful of his step mother who hates his guts.

Sansa Stark

Image: Sophie Turner as Sansa

If Arya is chalk, her elder sister Sansa is cheese.

One of the few damsels in distress on the show, Sansa is gratingly good and will annoy the hell out of you.

But then, who can hold a grudge against a porcelain-faced, well-meaning beauty like Sansa?

How'd you rate Sansa on the good to evil scale?

Jamie Lannister

Image: Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Jamie Lannister

He's the Hand of the King and often ridiculed as the Kingslayer (he put the sword through Daenarys's father, remember?).

He is also a master of many vices but his dedication to his father and unparalleled bravery win him our affection from time to time. Well, at least when we're feeling too generous.

Also, that face!

How'd you rate Jamie on the good to evil scale?

Tywin Lannister

Image: Charles Dance as Tywin Lannister

The Lannister's clan's patriarch is someone we'd never want to cross paths with in real life.

He is devoid of human emotions, gives an altogether newer, more vicious dimension to scheming and hates his youngest son to a point where he is almost too eager to kill him.

Kudos to veteran actor Charles Dance to make one of the most villainous characters on GoT extremely engaging.

How'd you rate Tywin on the good to evil scale?

Joffrey Baratheon

Image: Jack Gleeson as Joffrey Baratheon

Cersei's eldest son Joffrey might just be the most deplorable human being that ever existed, even in fiction.

He's a total jerk to his mother, to his would-be wife, a cry baby when it suits him, and his sexual fantasies are so depraved, they will haunt you in your dreams.

How'd you rate Joffrey on the good to evil scale?

Catelyn Stark

Image: Michelle Fairley as Catelyn Stark

One of the more admirable characters on the show, Catelyn is dignified even in her hatred and articulate to a fault.

Her devotion to her husband and kids is legendary, so is her bravery and dogged determination to restore her family's honour.

How'd you rate Catelyn on the good to evil scale?

Lord Varys

Image: Conleth Hill as Varys

Lord Varys is the ears and eyes of the seven kingdoms and beyond.

His crucial info-sourcing skills have caused many intriguing twists and turns.

We're still on the fence about his loyalties and character.

How'd you rate Varys on the good to evil scale?

Robb Stark

Image: Richard Madden as Robb Stark

Catelyn and Ned Stark's eldest son Robb initially strikes as gorgeous and a rather worthy successor to his father's title of Lord of Winterfell.

He's everything expected of an ideal first born.

How'd you rate Robb on the good to evil scale?

Margaery Tyrell

Image: Natalie Dormer as Margaery Tyrell

Speaking of empowered female characters, the gorgeous and rather unconventionally dressed Margaery is a closet master strategist and shockingly fearless.

She faces adversities with a rare serenity and will have the most cunning person fooled with her easy charm and honey-soaked voice.

Her intentions are, more often than not, good.

How'd you rate Margaery on the good to evil scale?

Stannis Baratheon

Image: Stephen Dillane as Stannis Baratheon

King Robert Baratheon's disgruntled elder brother is determined to overthrow him since he believes he's the rightful king of Westeros.

He may be right in his assumption but his means are questionable.

Also, he's laughably gullible and weak-willed for a leader.

How'd you rate Stannis on the good to evil scale?

Melisandre

Image: Carice van Houten as Melisandre

This gorgeous and rather enigmatic beauty has Stannis wrapped around her little finger.

She is calm, calculating but you can sense the danger, and evil, looming large in her presence.

How'd you rate Melisandre on the good to evil scale?

Jeor Mormont

Image: James Cosmo as Jeor Mormont

The chief of the Night's Watch is a well-meaning albeit tough task master.

If only he was not filled with so much misplaced hatred for Jon Snow, right?

How'd you rate Jeor on the good to evil scale?

Khal Drogo

Image: Jason Momoa as Khal Drogo

What a handsome medieval hunk, isn't he?

This savage tribal leader changes Daanarys's life irrevocably by unknowingly giving her the confidence to forge her own path instead of living in the shadows of her brother and husband.

Also, that lovemaking scene between him and Daenarys is all kinds of electric *wink wink*

How'd you rate Khal Drogo on the good to evil scale?

Ned Stark

Image: Sean Bean as Ned Stark

The most honourable man in all of the seven kingdoms, Lord Eddard Stark watches over Winterfell in the centre of the north.

He is also a close friend of Robert Baratheon.

All said and done though, wish he was a little better at making sound decisions that did not hurt him and his family.

How'd you rate Ned Stark on the good to evil scale?

Robert Baratheon

Image: Mark Addy as Robert Baratheon

He may be a king but he is mostly a pig to whom eating, drinking and sleeping with random women is a focal point of his life.

He is also a lousy father.

However, you have to hand it to him for not losing his sense of humour even in the most difficult times.

How'd you rate Robert on the good to evil scale?

Viserys Targaryen

Image: Harry Lloyd as Viserys Targaryen

When you see Viserys single-mindedly torturing his fragile sister for his own selfish ambition, don't be surprised if you suddenly find yourself wanting to punch his teeth in.

He is pure evil, don't let his appearance fool you.
