Pallavi Subhash, who had wowed Hindi television audiences with her performance as Gauri Shiv Kapoor in Karam Apnaa Apnaa and as Meera in Kasam Se (both Ekta Kapoor productions), is Gautham Vaudev Menon's new heroine.
Menon said he had not seen any of her advertisement films or TV serials.
Pallavi was in Chennai to shoot an advertisement for Rajiv Menon when she heard from him that Gautham Menon was looking for a new face for his untitled film with Silambarasan as hero. She immediately got in touch Gautham.
“We met and spoke about the character and I immediately chose her. I wanted an actress who has a good personality and she has to be a good performer too.
“Pallavi (she has dropped the surname in Tamil) learns the Tamil lines quite well if we give them in advance. She was quite comfortable acting in a Tamil film,” Gautham Menon said.
After shooting with her for 15 days, Gautham says “She is here to stay. The fact that she is a good performer is the main reason why I feel she will definitely make an impact.”
