The first look of the curiously-named Amitabh Bachchan and Dhanush starrer Shamitabh is now out.

The Big B tweeted the poster of the film and wrote, ‘Ladies and Gentlemen !! The SHAMITABH poster ..’

Directed by R Balki, Shamitabh marks Kamal Haasan’s younger daughter Akshara's Bollywood debut and is scheduled to release on February 6, 2015.

 

Subhash Ghai honoured at DIFF

Filmmaker Subhash Ghai was felicitated with the prestigious lifetime achievement award at the third edition of Delhi International Film Festival (DIFF) on Sunday.

Ghai, who inaugurated the eight-day festival, wrote: '54 Pakistani films hv entered @3rd Delhi international film festival 'was pleasant news when i was awarded life time achievement award yest.'

The festival will screen around 250 films from over 45 countries.

Boman Irani: PK has already made much much more than money

Box-office figures don't matter for Boman Irani.

The actor, who was seen in last week's release PK tweeted: 'Reporters asking me, how much I think PK will make??? I feel it has already made much much more than money!'

Meanwhile, Aamir Khan's co-star Juhi Chawla took to Twitter to praise the film. 'I ve been a Raju Hirani fan ... after watching PK my respect for him soars ..!! It's brilliant !!Congratulations to Aamir Raju &all PK team. And it was lovely to watch Sanjay dutt in PK ... He is adorable. I have some issues with PK .. I agree with a lot of things but disagree with some.nowTHATS a good film. One that stirs thought and discussion.'

Twinkle Khanna, who got together with her friends and family over the weekend to celebrate Christmas, shared a picture and wrote: 'Christmas with my besties. Merry Christmas.'

'The best part about being indian? We get to celebrate something everyday if we choose to :) merry Christmas!' she added.

 

Get ready for a biopic on an Indian scientist!

Actor Ayushmann Khuranna turned to Twitter to share the poster of his latest film Hawaizaada.

'A scientist goes on a magical journey where imagination soars and dreams come true. Hawaizaada takes off on Jan 30! ' he wrote with the poster. 

The film is based on the life of scientist Shivkar Bapuji Talpade, who is credited to have constructed India's first unmanned plane. Directed by Vibhu Puri, it will also star Pallavi Sharda and Mithun Chakraborty.

 

Sridevi takes daughters to Dubai

Actress Sridevi, who was last seen in English Vinglish, is currently vacationing in Dubai with daughters Jhanavi and Khushi Kapoor.

She shared a picture of them together and tweeted: 'Of Dubai with my daughters. Traveling for the first time without my husband for a vacation.' h01 

Meanwhile, actress Lara Dutta Bhupathi is back in her hometown for Christmas holidays.

'Bangalore City!!! Happy to be home for the holidays!! Big, family celebrations!! That's what Christmas is all about! :-)' she wrote.

Shriya Saran took to Twitter to wish fellow actress Tamannaah Bhatia, who celebrated her birthday on December 21.

The first look of Dibakar Banerjee's next film Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! is out.

Actor Meiyang Chang, who stars in the film, shared the poster and wrote: 'Aaaaand here it is! The Official Poster of my next movie project: Detective Byomkesh Bakshy: 10th April 2015.'

The crime-thriller will also feature Anand Tiwari, Swastika Mukherjee, and Divya Menon in significant roles.
