Aamir Khan's brother, Faisal Khan, is all set to make his directorial debut with Pyar Se Kyun Dartha Hai Dil. Not many know that Faisal had assisted his father, Tahir Hussain, in Tum Mere Ho and his uncle Mansoor Khan in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak and Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander. He has also acted in films like Mela and Madosh, which unfortunately, bombed.

Faisal was recently in the news when Aamir and Tahir fought for his custody. Aamir claimed that Faisal was mentally ill and needed treatment while Faisal asserted that he was normal and kept under confinement.

The courts recently declared that Faisal could live on his own.

Now, he's all set to direct a film, and hopes that the A-listers of Bollywood will star in it. And of course, he's not asking Aamir.

Rajul Hegde quizzes him about his new film.

You have announced that you will direct a film for which the script is ready. What is the film all about? Who will be cast in it?

Pyar Se Kyun Dartha Hai Dil is a romantic thriller with loads of comedy and emotions. The cast is not finalised yet but I will approach Saif Ali Khan, Ajay Devgan, Shah Rukh Khan, John Abraham and Bobby Deol. Among the actresses, I will approach Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Lara Dutta and Bipasha Basu. The film will have two heroines.

Is the script based on your life?

No, it is not.

Who will produce the film?

Haroon Sayyed is helping me bring out the film. He has produced some South Indian films and has recently launched the music for Arshad Siddiqui's Memsahab. We are still in the process of gathering a team of technicians. Javed Siddiqui will give the final touches to the dialogue.

Why this sudden plunge into direction?

It is not sudden; I was waiting for the right time. I have been working on the story for the past two years. I started my career as a clapper boy, became a co-producer, a chief assistant director and later, actor. Now, I am all set to direct.

Are you in touch with your brother Aamir Khan?

No, I am not in touch with him. I don't think we will work together. I prefer working independently.

Are your parents supporting you?

No. I am not in touch with them either. I trust in the Almighty and He will help me.
