'Every day is Mother's Day'

May 14, 2017 14:00 IST

'My mother has taught me time management and the fact that women should be independent and have a purpose in life. They should always be ambitious and yet, not let the house suffer.'

A lot of television actors credit their mothers for their success.

On Mother's Day, some of them tell us how they will celebrate the special day with their mothers and what gifts they will give them!

Ridheema Tiwari

I don't know if I will get leave but if I do, I may visit my mother Madhuri on Mother's Day. She's busy with her best friend's son's wedding.

She wanted a watch, which I have bought for her. I would like to meet her on Mother's Day and surprise her with flowers and another watch!

I am so happy that I have her in my life. I am a better version, thanks to her and the way she's brought me up.

She has always been a friend to me.

She has never stopped me from doing anything in life. She's been a go-getter in her own life.

She wants to travel the world and this year, I will take her.

My mother has taught me time management and the fact that women should be independent and have a purpose in life. They should always be ambitious and yet, not let the house suffer.

She has also taught me discipline in everything, whether it's eating on time or doing yoga.

She has taught me to welcome change and move with the changing trends.

I feel every day is Mother's Day; celebrating it on one day only would not be proper.

The special gift I would give my mom is to never let her down and make her happy always, no matter what.

I don't want to show her that something is wrong, as she has looked after me so much. And to see her child happy is every mother's dream.

I was a shy child initially but in school, I became active in cultural activities.

My mother is a teacher, so I was always a disciplined child. I learned the value of discipline and it has helped in my life.

My mother has taught me that hard work is the only investment that never fails.

My mother is my lifeline. I can't think of life without her.

My mother has given me an excellent upbringing. She has never said no for anything and yet, disciplined my sister and me.

I stay in Bombay while she's in Kolkata, but not a single day goes without talking to her.

I could always ask for what I wanted, and she understands it.

She was a big motivator in letting me participate in Zee Cinestar Ki Khoj. I remember she would visit me in Bombay every three months.

She is always concerned if I have eaten food or not.

I can talk to her on any topic of life.

My mother Vidya is the greatest influence in my life. I still like to eat food from her hand. She has pampered me a lot.

Whatever I am I am because of her.

When I was a child, she used to make special nankhatai sweets for me and would give me in big quantity to take to school.

She wanted to see her child happy and successful always. She has always supported my acting ambitions. Even during my struggle period, she believed in my talent.
