Dulquer Salmaan's Kammatipaadam gets A certificate

Director Rajeev Ravi’s Kammatipaadam has been given an A certificate by the Censor Board. The film, starring Dulquer Salmaan, will release on May 20.

Kammatipaadam was a slum like area near the KSRTC bus stand in Ernakulam. As per reports, the film narrates the story of few residents staying in the area for over some decades.

Actor Vinayakan’s curious makeover in the film has been widely discussed along with Dulquer’s salt and pepper look.

Rajeev Ravi has earlier directed Annayum Rasoolum and Njan Steve Lopez.

Oozham gets ready

Oozham

The shooting of director Jeethu Joseph’s Oozham is underway in Chennai. Prithviraj plays the lead in this thriller.

Divya Pillai, who was last seen in Ayaal Njanalla, is the heroine. The cast also includes Balachandra Menon, Neeraj Madhav and Seetha.

Jeethu Joseph, who has directed Malayalam’s biggest grosser ever Drishyam earlier, has completed schedules at Coimbatore, Kochi and Hyderabad.

Mamta teams up with Mammootty in Thoppil Joppan

Mamta Mohandas, who had last teamed up with Mammootty in Varsham, plays a medical student named Mariya in director Johny Antony’s Thoppil Joppan.

The actor shared her excitement in a Facebook post, with these lines: 'Happy to come together with Mammootty Ikka again after nearly 2 years..On location for Johnny Antony sir's Thoppil Joppan & playing a super fun med school student Mariya!'

Mammootty plays Joppan, a planter from an Idukki village.

The film also stars Andrea Jeremiah in a leading role.
