The police claimed on Monday, that the DNA test reports have confirmed Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja had raped his domestic maid even as he moved a court for bail. "The DNA report has confirmed rape of the victim," said Additional Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta.
"The report has corroborated the allegations in the FIR that the actor had raped his domestic help," Gupta added. The actor is lodged in Arthur Road central jailin Mumbai after a court remanded him to judicial custody on the charge of raping the 20-year-old maid at his residence on June 14.
In another development, the actor, in judicial custody till July 2, has moved a sessions court for bail contending he was not required for interrogation and all tests have concluded. His bail plea would be heard in due course. The medical examination of the victim, who hails from Roha in Raigad district, has already shown injuries on her private parts. The medical report of Ahuja had also shown an abrasion on his hand. However, the blood and urine samples suggested that the actor was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs when he allegedly committed the crime. Also, nail samples of the victim have been sent for forensic tests to gather corroborative evidence in the case, the police said adding the report is awaited.
